JOB TITLE: Catering Manager

Job Summary:

Work with franchise partners, general managers and catering sales managers to drive catering sales and lead catering initiatives in the field.  Increase catering awareness and ensure proper catering execution at the local level. 

Essential Duties:

  • Builds strong and effective relationships with Franchise Partners and catering representatives; communicates and implements national catering programs
  • Assists in the development of strategic catering sales plans based on national goals and objectives
  • Develops and communicates local store catering initiatives that increase catering revenue at the local restaurant level; Create and design sales guides
  • Work closely with Moe’s marketing department and internal design team to assist with development of catering materials to support restaurant needs
  • Present catering promotions, tools and sales tactics at local co-op meetings
  • Work with local co-ops, FMMs and agencies to develop local marketing plans to support catering
  • Provide catering support for new store openings
  • Educate field marketing managers and franchise business consultants on best practices and proper catering procedures; Provide needed support
  • Ensure that catering tests are being executed properly in the test markets
  • Help with the execution of catering sales contests
  • Assist with on-line ordering and catering software; Coordinate local website management project to maintain a consistent online brand image
  • Train restaurant staff on proper catering execution
  • Work with Franchise Partners and various internal departments to draft articles for the quarterly internal newsletter and weekly communications
  • Participate in weekly strategic marketing/catering meetings to share ideas and assist with projects as needed
  • Support Director of Catering and work with the catering committee

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

 

  • Must be willing to travel up to 60%
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), organization and problem solving skills
  • Strong ability to build relationships, effectively communicate and positively influence franchisees and other key constituents
  • Proficiency in computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to be flexible and effectively work with others as a team
  • Able to handle multiple projects, problem solve and work independently
  • Possesses a high degree of drive with a proven track record of achieving results

 Education & Experience:

  •  B.A. or B.S Degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a marketing/sales role, or comparable experience required
  • Restaurant quick service, multi-unit franchise operations, and/or hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Catering sales experience preferred
