JOB TITLE: Foodservice Distribution Specialist

BRAND: Support Center


Purpose:  The Distribution Specialist supports the Focus Brands Franchise community to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction with all distribution related activities.  Acts as primary contact for the Brand Operations personnel and SBR’s for distribution related issues.


  • Assists in the distribution transition project management
    • Updates transition schedule weekly and ensures all responsible parties are on track
    • Actively coordinates and participates in weekly transition calls/meetings
  • Responds to daily distribution needs of all Focus Brands SBR’s and documents all issues/challenges in a centralized tracking system and ensures resolution and follow-up to all topics with the representing distributor.  Follows through with FZ and DC to ensure closure.
  • Provides monthly issue tracking report to VP to review and works on proactive measures to prevent future similar issues
  • Coaches SBR’s on best practices to prevent reoccurrence when issues arise due to operator error
  • Coordinates all aspects of inventory management activities relating to product stocking requests, menu changes, tests and limited time offer promotions and communicates proactive information to the brand teams.
    • Looks over daily inventory dashboards for proactive inventory management to avoid shortages, manage slow moving items and avoid obsolete inventory
  • Tracks and audits fuel surcharge changes
  • Updates DC contact lists monthly and posts on ezLink
  • Works with D & L team and QA team during recall situations and serves as the centralized communication source
  • Prepares for and participates in distributor business reviews
  • Possesses ability to propose and implement processes to improve all distribution related communication
  • Provides bi-weekly development updates to all distribution partners to ensure DC’s are prepared within a minimum of 90 days of a new store opening in active DC and 120 days for new DC
  • Must learn in-depth knowledge of 24TRACC to provide back-up support to Data Analyst
  • Provides light administrative support to the Distribution & Logistics team


  • Experience in the foodservice industry a must - Franchise experience a plus
  • Foodservice distribution experience highly preferred (customer or distributor side)
  • Customer service oriented
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to display calm demeanor under pressure
  • Capable of multi-tasking
  • Strong project management skills preferred
  • Knowledge of common office applications (Excel (Intermediate or Expert level preferred), Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint)
